For years, people have been speculating about Persona 6, and we’ve reported on many of those rumors. But this latest leak seems like the most solid proof yet that the game is in development. Newly discovered design documents suggest Persona 6 might feature two playable main characters.
Okay, so some images have leaked online – they originally popped up on Chinese forums, and some think they came from a site called RedNote. They seem to be early concept art for Persona 6, and honestly, it looks amazing! There’s a character with blonde hair and a really distinctive bowl cut that everyone thinks is the main character. But get this – there’s also a girl with dark hair and red streaks standing next to him. The documents refer to her as either Yoko Kusakabe or Rinko, and people are speculating she might be another main character, which would be so cool!
As a Persona fan, I’ve always loved when the games let you choose who you play as. Persona 3 Portable was awesome because you could experience the story as either Makoto Yuki, the male protagonist, or Kotone Shiomi, the female one – it really added to the replay value!
According to a report by Vice, a reliable source on the ResetEra forum claims that Rinko isn’t the main character in the new Persona game. It seems Persona 6 might actually have a single protagonist – possibly the currently unknown blonde male character. However, Atlus, the game’s developer, hasn’t officially confirmed anything, so we’ll need to wait for further announcements.

Okay, so Lolilolailo dropped some news – Persona 6 is looking at a 2027 release! And with the series turning 30 next year, a reveal could happen this year. Everyone’s keeping a close watch on all the summer gaming events, but honestly, I’m betting on the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th. Xbox has been the one to announce all the recent Persona stuff, so it just makes sense!
