The critically acclaimed game, OPUS: Prism Peak, which received an 86 rating after its release on PC and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, is coming to PS5 later in 2024. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, we expect to hear more details soon. It’s already been a huge success, and promises to be a great addition to the PS5 library.

For those unfamiliar with the game, OPUS: Prism Peak is an artsy narrative-driven game where players take on the role of a photographer traveling through a mysterious realm with an amnesiac girl. The game has earned a great deal of praise for its story and anime-inspired art style, and while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, those that it has resonated with have sung its praises. And it’s not just professional critics that like OPUS: Prism Peak. The game’s user rating on Metacritic is an 8.2, and it has “Very Positive” reviews on Steam.
Later this year, PS5 players will gain access to OPUS: Prism Peak, a highly-rated game originally released in 2026. In addition, two other games that received scores over 90 on Metacritic will be available on PS5. Mina the Hollower is already playable, and Forza Horizon 6 is currently being developed for PS5, with an expected release date sometime before the end of the year, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet.
