This New One Piece NBA Collab Merch Is Absurdly Cool

The popular manga series One Piece and the NBA are teaming up again this fall with a new line of clothing and merchandise. They first collaborated in early 2025 with a special One Piece night hosted by the Los Angeles Lakers, featuring exclusive collectibles. Because the initial event was so popular, this next collaboration will be even bigger, with multiple NBA teams participating.

Last November, Bandai released a collaboration between One Piece and the NBA, featuring basketball-inspired merchandise. The collection included figures and clothing designed around popular NBA players and characters from the One Piece series – everything from Tony Tony Chopper plushies to figures of Luffy in a basketball jersey. While some were surprised by this pairing, fans loved it, and Bandai is continuing to expand the line with even more products.

The One Piece x NBA Collab Reveals New Shirts, Acrylic Stands, Tote Bag, and More

Premium Bandai is releasing a new line of One Piece merchandise inspired by the NBA in September 2026, including shirts, acrylic stands, and a tote bag. Preorders are available now through July 12th, and the items are already generating buzz online. The collection features a group T-shirt, plus individual shirts for popular characters representing different NBA teams: Luffy (Los Angeles Lakers), Sabo (Memphis Grizzlies), Trafalgar Law (Golden State Warriors), Roronoa Zoro (Boston Celtics), Shanks (Chicago Bulls), and Portugas D. Ace (New York Knicks). The shirts cost around $41 each. Matching acrylic stands are available for about $14 apiece, and a special collaboration tote bag will be priced around $24.

Fans of One Piece have a lot to look forward to in 2026! The anime adaptation recently began the Elbaph Arc, signaling a fresh start for the series. After a three-month break, One Piece is switching to a new broadcast schedule: it will now release episodes in two parts each year, with a maximum of 26 episodes annually. This is a big change from the consistent, year-round releases that have been happening since the show began in 1999.

Fans of the popular anime One Piece will soon have a major event to look forward to in the US! From August 25th to 26th, 2026, Cosm Los Angeles will host the first-ever North American One Piece Fest, bringing the excitement directly to American fans without the need to travel to Japan. Organized by Toei Animation, the two-day convention expects over 7,000 attendees and will feature special panels, exclusive merchandise, and an immersive “Elbaph Experience.” Entertainment will include a live performance by Hiroshi Kitadani, the iconic voice behind the show’s theme song “We Are!”, and organizers hint at another surprise guest to be revealed later.
