Following the end of the Naruto series, the story continues with its sequel, Boruto. Created by Mikio Ikemoto with guidance from Masashi Kishimoto, Boruto expands the Naruto universe through manga, anime, and games. A key element is the Otsutsuki Clan, first shown during the Fourth Great Ninja War in Naruto. The Boruto series has significantly developed the clan’s backstory, and now the popular Chinese game Naruto Online (developed by Tencent) has brought back the character Urashiki Otsutsuki, giving him a new role and updating his story after many years.

Urashiki was often overlooked as an Otsutsuki, but a recent game is letting fans see his character – and incredible powers – in a whole new way.

Urashiki Otsutsuki Is Officially Back In The Latest Addition To The Naruto Online Game

Naruto Online is a popular online role-playing game based on the well-known Naruto series. Players can experience the main story with a team of their favorite Naruto characters, customizing them with different abilities. The game has become incredibly successful, attracting a large and dedicated fanbase over the years.

Naruto Online has now included Urashiki Otsutsuki, a surprisingly overlooked character created by Masashi Kishimoto. Kishimoto originally planned to feature Urashiki in the 2015 movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie, but it wasn’t possible due to time limitations. He was later introduced in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime during episodes 128-136 as part of the Time Slip arc. Despite being a relatively low-ranking member of the Otsutsuki clan, Urashiki proved to be a formidable villain. His immense power, derived from both the Byakugan and Rinnegan, allowed him to challenge incredibly strong ninja like Jiraiya of the Legendary Sannin and even Sasuke Uchiha, who is considered a god-like figure among ninja.

Urashiki Can Be Seen Fighting Gaara Of The Desert In New Release

The latest update to Naruto Online features Urashiki Otsutsuki battling strong opponents like Gaara and Shinki. As an Otsutsuki clan member – essentially a lower-level god – Urashiki is incredibly powerful, capable of fighting multiple Kage and even legendary ninja like Naruto and Sasuke simultaneously. Players will experience a fresh take on Urashiki’s story, different from what was shown in the original anime.

I just watched the new trailer, and it looks like the game’s story is diverging from the anime a bit. I noticed Urashiki Otsutsuki fighting both Shinki and Gaara simultaneously, which is new. Interestingly, Gaara is even able to access the power of Shukaku, the tailed beast he separated from earlier in the Shippuden series. Even with both of them giving it their all, Urashiki doesn’t seem to take any damage at all. It really highlights just how powerful he is and suggests the game will expand on the story in some cool ways.

All Powers And Abilities Of Urashiki Otsutsuki In Boruto

Those following Boruto: Naruto Next Generations know Urashiki Otsutsuki is a powerful character. Although he’s considered a relatively weak member of the Otsutsuki clan compared to figures like Momoshiki and Kinshiki, he still possesses incredible abilities. He has a special Byakugan that allows him to use space-time ninjutsu, and this Byakugan can even develop into different forms of the Rinnegan, with his Blue Rinnegan being the most potent. This powerful Rinnegan grants him the ability to control time.

Sasuke Uchiha believes Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki Otsutsuki suggest a danger even bigger than Kaguya exists, and that this threat is coming to their world.

When Urashiki’s Rinnegan turns red and displays six tomoe, he gains access to one of Kaguya Otsutsuki’s powerful techniques, called Yomotsu Hirasaka. This is an incredibly strong space-time ninjutsu, first appearing in chapter 681 of the Naruto manga (published July 7, 2014, in Weekly Shonen Jump #30), that allows him to travel freely between dimensions – though it requires a lot of chakra, even for someone as powerful as Kaguya. His Blue Rinnegan grants him limited time travel, letting him rewind a few seconds. If used repeatedly, this allows him to glimpse the future and perfectly counter his opponents’ attacks, a skill prominently displayed during his battles with characters like Jiraiya, Boruto Uzumaki, and Sasuke Uchiha in the anime.

Urashiki’s Ultimate Transformation In Boruto

Urashiki reaches his most powerful state by absorbing his own visual powers, resulting in a transformation much like Momoshiki Otsutsuki after he absorbed Kinshiki. In this form, he becomes incredibly fast, overwhelming opponents like Sasuke and Jiraiya. At his peak, Urashiki can effortlessly deflect even the most powerful attacks and absorb most chakra-based assaults. This makes him a world-level threat, capable of potentially causing global destruction.

Urashiki isn’t the most popular character, especially since his story was removed from the original manga. However, he’s incredibly powerful and has some of the coolest abilities in the entire Naruto series. It’s great to see him included in the new game, as he’s often overlooked. Hopefully, the upcoming Naruto and Boruto guidebook, releasing on June 4, 2026, will give him more attention. This guidebook promises to be the most detailed one ever created for the Naruto franchise, covering almost every character who’s been part of the story.
