Among these were several exclusive Nintendo titles slated for the Switch 2, such as Donkey Kong Bananza, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Mario Kart World. Additionally, popular titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and two new releases of The Legend of Zelda were announced to receive upgrade packages for the console.
A variety of third-party games are coming to the console, as shown in the Partner Spotlight video, such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, Split Fiction, Hades 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and Cyberpunk 2077. One of the most significant gaming releases from the past five years, FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, has been confirmed to be coming to Switch 2, with new details about it being shared recently.
The April 2025 presentation for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 revealed a wealth of details, such as its hardware specifications and promising games. The unexpected but thrilling announcement was FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, which means Switch 2 users will eventually join millions on other platforms, exploring the Lands Between together.

A Fresh Famitsu post unveiled some fresh insights concerning the upcoming Switch 2 launch of Elden Ring. At present, an official release date is still undisclosed for the boxed version, specifically the Tarnished Edition. However, it’s been verified that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will drop in 2025. Intriguingly, this game may come with some extra features such as the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
The Famitsu piece disclosed an expansion for Elden Ring called the “Tarnished Edition,” which introduces two additional character classes beyond the ten initial ones. As per the article, the “Tarnished Edition” introduces the Knight of Ides and Heavy Knight classes, details about their base stats at game launch are yet to be revealed.
Additionally, FromSoftware has confirmed that the Spectral Steed Torrent in our Tarnished Edition will offer a personalization feature. This customization option will also be available as extra downloadable content on other platforms, known as the Tarnished Pack. Moreover, at its release, the Tarnished Edition is expected to include new armor, weapons, and potentially new combat skills. More details about these additions should be revealed closer to launch when the developer makes an announcement.
