Summary
- Big Buck Hunter Arcade has been delisted from Steam without explanation.
- It’s possible that the game was delisted due to licensing issues.
- Big Buck Hunter Arcade is unlikely to return to Steam.
The popular arcade hunting game, “Big Buck Hunter Arcade,” has been removed from the digital distribution platform, Steam. Originating from GameMill Entertainment, it was a thrilling Steam game where players aimed to amass the highest score by targeting various wild animals in an immersive hunting environment.
Initially launched in 2016, “Big Buck Hunter Arcade” was playable not just on computers (PC), but also on gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The game offered a first-person shooting experience across numerous environments and targets, with 30 different hunting stages and more than 20 unique animal species. Players who excelled could boast their skills using a leaderboard system. However, on Steam, it received mixed reviews, as only about 66% of the players enjoyed playing it.
In recent times, GameMill Entertainment has taken down Big Buck Hunter Arcade from Steam’s marketplace, making it unavailable for purchase on the platform. Regrettably, GameMill has not disclosed the reason behind this removal, merely stating that Big Buck Hunter Arcade would no longer be sold. It is plausible that the action was prompted by licensing complications, a common occurrence with games delisted from Steam. Noteworthy is that gamers who already bought the game on Steam can still play it. At present, the only location where one can procure a PC copy of the game is Fanatical, which continues to sell Steam keys for the game at $7.89, offering a 21% discount.
Big Buck Hunter Arcade Has Been Delisted From Steam

In 2025, one of several games, including “Big Buck Hunter Arcade,” is set to be removed from the prominent PC gaming platform. Previously, “Realm of Ink” was also taken down from Steam. However, fans may take heart as “Realm of Ink” later returned and is once again available for purchase on the platform. Regrettably, there’s little reason to anticipate that “Big Buck Hunter Arcade” will reappear on the platform, given its current outlook.
It’s disheartening when games get removed from Steam, but given its massive growth, it’s understandable that this occurs occasionally. This year, Steam hit a record of 40 million simultaneous users, marking a significant milestone for PC gaming. In just 2024, more than 18,000 games were launched on the platform. Fingers crossed that Big Buck Hunter Arcade will make a comeback someday!
