I’ve been waiting so long for this! For years, fans have speculated whether Monkey D. Dragon had a Devil Fruit, and it finally happened! Back in chapter 100 of the manga – which originally came out on August 9, 1999 – we finally saw his powers in action. He arrived in Logue Town and completely messed with the weather, bringing in crazy winds and even a lightning strike! It was amazing – he used that lightning to free Luffy from the execution platform, basically setting him on the path to becoming King of the Pirates! And it wasn’t just that, he stopped Smoker cold and then used those same powerful winds to help the Straw Hats escape Logue Town. It was an incredible moment and confirmed everything we’d hoped for!

Why Dragon’s Devil Fruit Is The Last Big Ability Reveal In The Final Saga

The Elbaf arc of One Piece has revealed incredibly powerful abilities, most notably those of Nidhoggr and a special Devil Fruit. Nidhoggr is an ancient being, existing even before the events of the Void Century, and its significant role in a past Great War is shown in manga chapters 1180 and 1181. Nidhoggr’s importance to the story is enormous, on par with the legendary Sun God Nika.

Just like Luffy and Blackbeard, Imu possesses an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit ability. As the series’ main villain, this power will be central to the story’s conclusion. While several Devil Fruits are significant, Monkey D. Dragon’s ability is likely the final, major one that will be revealed in One Piece.

Most of the powerful characters in One Piece who eat Devil Fruits have already demonstrated their abilities. We’ve seen the powers of all four Emperors (Yonko), all the Marine Admirals, and every member of the Shichibukai who possessed a Devil Fruit.
