Air Raider Scremulous is a boss enemy in the side activity of Borderlands 4: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. Defeating this flying enemy gives you a chance to earn the Elpis Star and Prowler, both powerful Legendary items.
Looking for details on what loot you can get from Air Raider Scremulous, or just trying to locate him in the Fuel Siphon: Thrombosis Purge area of Crooked Teeth? We’ve got everything you need to know about this secret boss right here.
How to Find Air Raider Scremulous in Borderlands 4
- Air Raider Scremulous is located at the Fuel Siphon: Thrombosis Purge, which is in the bottom left corner of the map.
- You can reach the Thrombosis Purge Fuel Siphon from Crooked Teeth, which requires minimal climbing and the use of a grappling hook.
- Once you arrive, you’ll need to purge the area of hostiles to force Air Raider Scremulous out of hiding.
- To damage Air Raider Scremulous, you must locate and destroy his drone, which is granting him an immune shield.
- Air Raider Scremulous’s first health bar is Armor (yellow), so Corrosive and Cryo will do the trick.
- His final bar is Health (red), so Incendiary will help to burn him fast.
Air Raider Scremulous Loot Table in Borderlands 4
| Legendary Item | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Elpis Star | Maliwan Energy Shield | Moonfall – When dealing Melee Damage, spawn a Meteor Cluster to fall on the damaged enemy. |
| Prowler | Daedalus Submachine Gun | Pounce – Bullets slowly home in on targets. Reloading accelerates them toward their targets. |
The Elpis Star shield, like other powerful shields in the game, has a special ability, but it’s only effective for a small number of character builds. Because most players don’t focus on close-range attacks, the Elpis Star isn’t very helpful for the majority of Vault Hunters.
Prowler is a unique SMG that trades raw damage for accuracy – its bullets automatically track enemies. While it doesn’t deal damage as quickly as some other weapons, reloading actually speeds up the bullets, and it still packs a solid punch.
