Initially, Neverness to Everness seems focused on battling strange creatures and completing missions one after another. However, as you explore the city, you’ll discover smaller side quests that offer a welcome change of pace from the main action.
As you level up in City Tycoon, you’ll unlock fun hobbies that are a simple way to earn Fons with minimal effort. One of these is Sea Angler, or Fishing! We’ll cover everything you need to know, including how to fish, what to do with your catches, and where to find each type of fish.
How to Unlock Fishing in NTE
You’ll need to unlock the City Tycoon system before you can start fishing. You unlock it by speaking with Chiz during the Good Morning Hethereau quest.
Once you unlock the City Tycoon, it’s where you’ll handle all your hobbies. You can start competing in Race Challenges at level 2, and fishing becomes available at level 3. If you haven’t reached those levels yet, simply earning Fons and completing tasks in the City Tycoon will help you level up automatically.
You can earn Fons by doing various things, such as enjoying hobbies or cracking safes throughout the city. If you want to earn them faster, we have a complete guide to safe locations in NTE to help you quickly collect Fons.
After unlocking the hobby, open the City Tycoon menu and select ‘Hethereau Hobbies.’ Then, choose ‘Sea Angler’ and click ‘Go Fishing.’ The game will then guide you to a suitable fishing location.
When you get to where you want to fish, you’ll find a ‘Fishing’ option. Select it, pick your fishing rod and bait, and you can start! You’ll also be able to see what kinds of fish are available to catch there.
You will start with a basic rod and bait, but you can find out how to get better ones below!
How to Fish in NTE
To begin fishing, simply tap the hook symbol to throw your line into the water. Wait a few moments, and a fish should bite!
You’re about to play a simple game where you need to tire out a fish. A green bar will move back and forth at the top of the screen. Your goal is to keep the yellow marker inside the green bar by using the controls on the screen.
If you can keep the fishing line’s marker within the rod’s bend, you’ll eventually wear the fish out and be able to reel it in.
How to Sell Fish in NTE & Get Scale Coins
Once you’ve caught some fish, selling them is simple. Just open the fishing menu at the bottom of the screen and select the ‘Fish Hold’ tab. This is where all your catches are stored, and you can see the selling price of each fish.
Choose the fish you want to sell and click the ‘Sell’ button. You’ll receive Scale Coins in return, which can be used to purchase improved fishing equipment. You can find your Fish Hold through the Sea Angler area in City Tycoon.
Fish Market in Neverness to Everness- NTE
You can sell your catches at the Fish Market for a fast profit. Find it under the ‘Sea Angler’ hobby in the menu.
Each day, NTE chooses three popular fish to sell at a higher price. I once sold a Silver Arowana and made a great profit! There’s a limit, though: you can only sell two of each type of fish, meaning a total of six fish per day in the market.
How to Get Better Fishing Rods and Baits in NTE
If you plan on doing a lot of fishing, improving your equipment will really help. You can find all the rods and baits you need by clicking the shopping cart icon on the Fishing Preparations screen.
You’ll use Scale Coins, earned by fishing, to buy things in the game. Keep in mind that you won’t have access to everything immediately – better fishing rods and bait become available as you level up your fishing skill.
