A new update for PlayStation Plus is coming soon, bringing fresh games to the Extra and Premium tiers while also removing some older titles. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members usually see these updates mid-month, but they also get the free monthly games offered through the Essential tier at the beginning of each month.
PlayStation Plus members can now download the free games for April 2026, regardless of their subscription level. This month’s lineup includes the challenging action game Lords of the Fallen (2023), the classic Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. You have until May 4th to add these games to your library, and you can keep playing them as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
Like Netflix or Xbox Game Pass, the games offered on the Extra and Premium PS Plus tiers change regularly. In April 2026, seven new games will be added: Football Manager 26 Console, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Monster Train, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, The Crew Motorfest, and Warriors; Abyss. PS5 players will receive Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, while PS4 players will get Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition.

The Premium tier includes everything offered in the Extra tier, plus the RPG Wild Arms 4. Originally released for PlayStation 2 in North America in 2006, Wild Arms 4 received mixed reviews. However, with other Wild Arms titles already available on PS Plus Premium, its inclusion is a welcome addition.

April 21st will be a big day for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, mainly because of the new games being added. However, several titles will also be leaving the service that day, including Dave the Diver, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, EA Sports PGA Tour, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Spitlings, and TowerFall Ascension. It’s particularly disappointing to see popular and well-regarded games like Dave the Diver and TowerFall Ascension go, so if you’re interested in playing them, make sure to do so before they’re removed.
