ARC Raiders Announces Regional Pricing Adjustments

ARC Raiders has updated its prices in different regions. The game, developed by Embark Studios, previously lowered prices in 15 areas before it launched. This latest change isn’t a simple price cut; it’s a rebalance, meaning prices have gone down in some regions and up in others.

Many game developers use regional pricing, which means they adjust the cost of a game to match the average income in different countries, instead of simply converting the price from US dollars. The game ARC Raiders used this system, but some areas weren’t getting appropriately priced games. Players in Turkey, Argentina, and Latin America, in particular, have been actively asking for fairer prices on online forums. Unfortunately, the latest price changes didn’t fully address these concerns for everyone in those regions.

ARC Raiders Updates Regional Pricing

Embark Studios has updated the price of ARC Raiders in different regions. According to Oscar, the community lead at Embark, this change makes sure prices reflect current economic conditions and are fair worldwide. The update arrives ahead of patch 1.27.0, which will refine the balance of the recent Riven Tides update and introduce the new Corsaro Set in the in-game store.

The recent price changes for ARC Raiders aren’t consistent across all regions. While players in South Africa and Colombia are seeing significant discounts – prices dropped from around $44.37 to $32.96 and $37.70 to $27.20 respectively – prices have actually increased in Ukraine and the United Kingdom, now costing around $31.62 and $47.46. This means the new major update is now more affordable for players in some regions but more expensive in others.

This price adjustment comes at a difficult time for ARC Raiders, as players have been leaving negative reviews on Steam. While the game still has an overall “Very Positive” rating, recent feedback has shifted its current reviews to “Mixed.” The latest Riven Tides update didn’t address many player concerns – in fact, some issues were even made worse. Players are particularly frustrated with imbalances in weapons like the Betinna, guns breaking down too quickly, and a lack of substantial new content, especially for endgame players.

Adjusting prices in different regions is a positive move, but it might not fully satisfy players who are unhappy with the recent game updates.
