An Arc Raiders player demonstrated incredible resilience by surviving for 15 minutes while downed, crawling across the map to successfully extract with all their collected loot. Arc Raiders has quickly become a hit for Embark Studios, following the popularity of its technical tests earlier this summer.
One of the most interesting aspects of Arc Raiders is its constantly changing world, where players face both human opponents and AI enemies. As the game continues to be popular, players are constantly discovering new strategies, making each playthrough feel fresh and exciting. Sometimes, though, surviving a run and collecting all the rewards requires more than just good fortune – like one player who managed to stay alive in a downed state for over 15 minutes!
Arc Raiders Discover the Power of the MK3 Augment
A player recently shared an impressive video on the Arc Raiders subreddit showing their character crawling for over 15 minutes to reach an extraction point. Arc Raiders lets downed players attempt an escape with their gear, but this player managed to survive a remarkable distance across the Buried City map, reaching the subway extraction while avoiding both ARC enemies and other players. It’s a testament to skillful maneuvering and a bit of luck!
The video showed a surprising tactic players can use in Arc Raiders. It relies on the Looting MK3 Augment, which can be made at a Level 3 Gear Bench. When equipped, this augment lets players recover up to 75% of their health while standing still. The video demonstrates this by showing the player using cover and bushes to safely regenerate health and continue moving. Commenters also pointed out that even more powerful versions exist, such as the Tactical MK3, which also passively charges shields while the player is running.
Beyond trying out different character builds, players in Arc Raiders have been testing strategies against the ARC enemies found throughout the game. During the recent Harvester Event, they encountered The Queen, a massive and intentionally difficult boss. Surprisingly, players quickly discovered a simple way to defeat The Queen, suggesting the developers will likely release a patch to address this unintended exploit.
