In just seven days after its release, the latest installment of Assassin’s Creed, titled Shadows, has garnered more than 3 million players worldwide.
The news was posted on the official Assassin’s Creed X account, which announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows holds the second-highest first-day sales (by revenue) in the entire history of the Assassin’s Creed series.
Additionally, it was revealed that the game holds the title for the largest day-one release on the PlayStation Store, having accumulated more than 40 million hours of gameplay since its launch.
Apart from its commercial triumph, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has also earned a high rating on Metacritic, one of the most reputable gaming platforms. At present, it boasts an impressive score of 82 out of 100.
According to TopMob’s Grant-Taylor Hill, the game Shadow receives a recommendation to buy. He appreciates its stunning visuals and cinematic elements, yet points out that there are several minor issues that prevent it from being a flawless or ideal title.
