This week, Embark launched a big update for ARC Raiders called Headwinds, starting their planned series of monthly updates throughout early 2026. The January 27th update included a new 1v3 matchmaking mode – which has proven divisive – a special modifier for the Buried City map, a new item bundle in the store, and various bug fixes and improvements. However, many players haven’t been able to experience the new Bird City map modifier due to inconvenient event timing.

Following a leaked image from Walmart hinting at Pikmin 2 and Metroid Prime 2 joining the Nintendo Switch Online service, Nintendo has addressed the situation. In a statement to IGN, Nintendo confirmed the image contained errors.

Okay, so Battlefield 6 definitely doesn’t have the huge launch numbers it did at first, but trust me, there are still tons of people playing – easily thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands – on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Season 1 added some good stuff, but now we’re all waiting for Season 2 to drop and see what new content it brings to the battlefield!

The creators of Phasmophobia, Kinetic Games, recently announced they’re starting a new publishing company called Kinetic Publishing. This new venture won’t focus on their own game, but instead will work with smaller development teams and individual creators around the globe.

All Fighters are capable in battle, but certain specializations make them significantly more effective.

Recently, Epic Games gave away Rustler – Grand Theft Horse, an open-world action game set in medieval times. It’s designed with a similar style to classic Grand Theft Auto games from the 2D era. Rustler was free to claim from January 22nd to 29th, and has now been replaced with another free game: Definitely Not Fried Chicken.

Chapter 6 involves redirecting power from three large Sun Lamps to operate bridges and doors, allowing you to reach Section H and then Reactor 5. This area has three levels – Upper, Mid, and Lower – and is organized with pillars labeled by number and section letter, like G-05.

Since launching on January 26th, Highguard has sparked a lot of online conversation. The game experienced both negative reviews on Steam and a surge of players curious to try it out, keeping developer Wildlight Entertainment quite busy. While streamers and fans of hero shooters initially flocked to the game, interest seems to be declining. This week, the number of players on Steam dropped significantly, and now viewership on Twitch is also falling rapidly.
