Spin-offs like Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball DAIMA have added depth to the storyline, but it’s Dragon Ball Super that truly distinguishes itself.
2023 saw the announcement of a partnership between Sega and Lizardcube to launch “Shinobi: Art of Vengeance,” a reimagining of the ’80s classic Sega game, Shinobi. This upcoming action-platformer marks the third iconic franchise from Sega that Lizardcube has worked on, following 2017’s “Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap” and 2020’s “Streets of Rage 4.” Interestingly, these games constitute the entire catalog of Lizardcube, and they have received positive critical acclaim thus far. While “Wonder Boy” has an OpenCritic score of 79, “Streets of Rage 4” boasts a higher rating of 84 on review aggregator sites.
Refreshing the identities and streamlining structures of its subsidiaries isn’t an unfamiliar approach for Nintendo; they’ve done it plenty of times in the past. Yet, this current business transformation seems to carry a greater weight compared to some of their past reform initiatives, perhaps due to the strategic timing involved.

During an interview with Game Rant, Antonio Alvarado, the lead game designer at Deadbolt Interactive, explained how P1: Anchor Light doesn’t aim to be overtly frightening but instead elicits a profound, unsettling sensation that seems out of place given the lighthouse’s elegant appearance.
