Tekken 8 Update: Controversial Throw Change Shocks Players
In the March 23 broadcast of “Tekken Talk Live”, it was announced that Anna Williams, a beloved character from previous “Tekken” games, would be joining “Tekken 8” as DLC on April 3. However, those who have purchased the Character Year 2 Pass will get early access to her starting April 1 (March 31 being the start date for Season 2). In addition to this, Bandai Namco has unveiled a new roadmap for “Tekken 8” Season 2, which features a special stage for Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, free DLC collaboration with Atelier Yumia, and several returning paid characters. Unfortunately, the update in “Tekken 8” Season 2 has sparked some controversy due to the change in throws – if they’re broken, they will now cause chip damage, meaning even players who successfully stop their opponent’s throw will still face consequences for not avoiding it altogether.
