Best RPGs That Subvert The Genre

Whether you enjoy battling monsters, tending to crops, or casting a line, RPGs offer something for everyone. The most memorable RPGs often break the mold, and some don’t even strictly fit the genre definition – but they still capture that immersive role-playing feeling. Let’s explore some influential classic and modern RPGs that changed the game by doing things differently.

Splatoon 3 Announces Halloween Splatfest

Splatfests are a really fun part of the *Splatoon* games. Even though fans sometimes aren’t as excited about themes that have been used before, bringing them back can lead to surprising results. Players might switch to different teams, and changes to the game’s weapons can also affect how matches play out, creating a lot of unpredictability.

The XRP Conundrum: A Tale of Gilded Promises and Cryptic Whispers

While Mitchnick, with the grace of a man dodging a question at a grand ball, offered no concrete revelations, he did unfurl the tapestry of BlackRock’s grand strategy-a strategy woven with threads of “client demand,” “investment theses,” and “portfolio considerations.” One might imagine the great Leo himself scribbling in the margins: *“What problem are we solving? Ah, the eternal riddle of man’s folly.”*

Upcoming Games Like No Man’s Sky

Many new games are in development that let players experience the wonder of space. Whether it’s through story-focused adventures or realistic simulations, these games will focus on the core appeal of space: huge galaxies, strange planets, traveling between stars, and the challenge of surviving in a hostile environment. The next wave of space exploration games promises to be both incredibly creative and impressively ambitious.

How Mosquito Could Fit into Death Stranding’s Post-Apocalyptic World

I was so excited to hear about the new animated project from Kojima Productions at their 10th anniversary event! It’s called *Death Stranding: Mosquito* for now, and it’s a really intriguing step for the *Death Stranding* universe. Hideo Kojima is producing, which is awesome, and Hiroshi Miyamoto from ABC Animation is directing. The script is being written by Aaron Guzikowski, who’s done *Raised by Wolves* and *Prisoners* – seriously great stuff! They’re calling it *Mosquito* for now, but knowing Kojima and how much meaning he puts into names, I have a feeling that title is a big clue about the main character and the story. It’s definitely got me thinking!

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Players Are Not Happy With Shiny Legendary Event

The Pokémon Company announced on September 12th that shiny versions of the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon will be available for a limited time. This marks the first official opportunity for players to obtain these shiny Pokémon legally. Shiny Koraidon is available for players of *Pokémon Violet*, and shiny Miraidon is available for *Pokémon Scarlet* trainers. The distribution is happening at select retailers in countries like the US (GameStop), Canada, Australia, and New Zealand (EB Games), and in Japan through approved retailers. At GameStop, they’re giving out printed cards with codes to redeem in *Pokémon Scarlet* and *Pokémon Violet* while supplies last.

Supergiant Games Comments on Hades 3 Chances

Supergiant Games revealed *Hades 2* at The Game Awards in December 2022, over two years after the original *Hades* fully launched. The sequel then became available to play as a full release on September 25, 2025.

Take-Two Interactive Stock Hits All-Time High

As a lifelong cinema and gaming fan, I remember hearing about Take-Two Interactive way back in ’93. They initially made a name for themselves with those full-motion video games, but things *really* took off when the first *Grand Theft Auto* came out in ’98. Even though *GTA 6* is now slated for 2026, the excitement hasn’t died down at all – it’s still incredibly high! It’s interesting to see investors mirroring that enthusiasm with some serious stock purchases; they clearly believe in Take-Two’s next big hit as much as we gamers do.

Roblox: Scrap It Codes (September 2025)

Good news for anyone playing *Scrap It* – right now, all the codes I’ve found are working! If any of them stop working in the future, I’ll be sure to update this list so you know which ones are expired.

One Piece: Oda Officially Confirms A Character Even Stronger Than Kaido And Big Mom

The current arc of *One Piece*, focusing on Loki’s backstory within the Elbaf arc, has been incredibly captivating. Fans didn’t anticipate a full reveal of the God Valley Incident, but Eiichiro Oda has delivered, exceeding all expectations. Chapter 1161 showcased some of the most thrilling battles from that event, and importantly, it began to clarify the power levels of various characters within the *One Piece* universe.
