As a devoted fan, I must say that Starfield’s voyage post-release has been intriguing. Created by Sad Owl Studios from Scotland, the game titled Viewfinder debuted in 2023 and soon became one of the most creative puzzle games in recent memory, earning comparisons to other mind-bending games such as Superliminal and The Witness. This innovative game garnered several awards including Best British Game and New Intellectual Property at the 2023 BAFTAs, Game Designers Award at the Japan Game Awards 2024, and numerous nominations elsewhere. After more than two years of exclusive release on PlayStation and PC, Viewfinder is now planned to extend its reach to Xbox and Nintendo.

Games set in open worlds where players can live ordinary lives don’t necessarily need to be comforting or peaceful. But, to make it onto this list, they should offer gameplay mechanics that mimic everyday activities like cooking, socializing with neighbors, or holding down a job. Additionally, these games should allow the player to decide when to switch back to an action-packed adventure at their convenience.

In the game “Donkey Kong Bananza”, the collection of villains aligns with what fans typically find in a 3D platformer by Nintendo for the 3DS. The VoidCo apes have unique visual styles, and their boss battles are imaginatively designed. However, there’s one minor enemy that players might overlook, but it showcases Nintendo’s creativity to perfection.

In the thrilling, disorderly shootouts of the Borderlands series, a key attraction for many gamers lies not only in the action but also in the series’ vibrant cast of characters. Over the years spent traversing these worlds and living these stories, long-term fans may find themselves developing a deep affection for this eclectic group. The unique personalities of Borderlands characters tend to linger in players’ minds even after numerous playthroughs of the game campaigns. Notably, some cherished characters will appear again in Borderlands 4, but there are two conspicuous absences that cannot be ignored.

The concept of Mega Evolution was initially presented in the Pokemon X & Y video games, allowing specific Pokemon to undergo a potent, yet transient, evolution during battles.
