Future Sims 4 Updates Teased in New 2026 Roadmap

While the new expansion packs for The Sims 4 get a lot of attention, the game has also received many smaller updates focused on improving how it plays. The development team at Maxis regularly releases monthly patches to fix bugs that appear with new content and address problems with older features. The February update, for example, fixed significant issues in the Royalty and Legacy pack, like game freezes during weddings and visual glitches in the family tree. Now, Maxis is sharing a preview of what’s coming next for The Sims 4.
