Binance Labs Dominance Uncovered For Launchpool Projects: Report

As a crypto investor, I’ve been keeping an eye on Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. According to a recent report from Root Data Labs, Binance Labs leads among top investment firms in terms of participation in Binance Launchpool projects.

Amongst leading investment firms, Binance Labs, the investment branch of Binance crypto exchange, holds the distinction of managing the most Launchpool Projects.

Binance Launchpool Contribution Data

As an analyst, I’ve recently come across a report published by Root Data Labs, the Web3.0 asset data platform. In this report, they asserted that they have amassed information on 30 Binance Launchpool projects dating back to November 2021. Notably, these specific projects drew involvement from a combined total of 288 institutional and individual investors according to Root Data Labs’ findings.

Among all the mentioned projects, Binance Labs stood out by investing in 21 projects with a total of 190 portfolios, resulting in an 11.05% success rate for Launchpool according to Root Data Labs’ report on X.

Five ventures, including OKX Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Dragonfly, Polychain Capital, and g scott russ, have each invested in approximately five projects on Launchpool. In contrast, Binance Labs contributed to just two of the eight most recent project launches. Binance’s limited involvement was likely a result of past allegations regarding “nepotism coins” associated with Binance. This development implies that Launchpool is now moving towards greater equality in investment distribution.

As an analyst, I’ve examined the investment performance of 288 individuals, and unfortunately, the average success rate fell short of 2%. However, it’s important to note that there were exceptions to this trend. Notably, Gemini’s Frontier Fund, Draper Dragon, LightSpeed, and Folius Venture achieved hit rates above 5% each.

As a crypto investor, I’ve come across some successful individuals in this field who have made commendable investments. For instance, Kin Warwick, the founder of Synthetix, boasts a hit rate of 8.77% from his investments in projects like Ethena during two notable rounds. Similarly impressive is Anthony Sassal, co-founder of EthHub, who has achieved a hit rate of 8.57%.

As a researcher examining the relationship between Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) investments and their presence on the Binance exchange, I’ve discovered that just three of a16z’s portfolios have been included in Binance’s listing.

As a crypto investor, I’ve noticed an intriguing trend with a16z’s investment portfolio. While it’s unclear why this shift is happening, the data suggests that their latest investments could be a sign of their deeper commitment to the commercialization of Web3.0 and regulatory innovation in this space. Previously, their focus had been on crypto, food, and even beauty industries.

Recent Launchpool Projects By Binance Labs

As a crypto investor, I’m excited to share that Binance Lab is now working on its 53rd project, which was recently announced a few days ago. This upcoming project is called Renzo (EZ), and it’s scheduled for launch on April 30, 2024. With Renzo, users will be able to earn rewards by simply depositing BNB and FDUSD in the liquidity pool. Prior to Renzo, Binance Launchpool had launched Omni Network (OMNI), which was their 52nd project.

As a crypto investor, I’ve noticed an exciting development in the first week of this month. Binance announced the introduction of Saga (SAGA) as their 51st project in the Launchpool platform, allowing users to stake BNB and FDUSD to harvest SAGA tokens. With this addition, Binance is solidifying its leading position in the Launchpool ecosystem, making it a convenient choice for investors like myself.
