Bitcoin Whale Buys $40 Million Worth of BTC at the Bottom

As someone who closely follows the cryptocurrency market, I find it fascinating to witness the actions of major players in the Bitcoin ecosystem. The recent purchase of 620 Bitcoins ($39.8 million) by a whale at the bottom of a price correction is a clear sign that some investors believe the current dip is only temporary.

Based on data from cryptocurrency analysis tool Lookonchain, a significant Bitcoin investor has more recently acquired 620 Bitcoins, equivalent to approximately $39.8 million, during the latest price adjustment’s low point.

I’ve observed a remarkable scenario where a whale, specifically identified, has amassed approximately $282.38 million in Bitcoins. On average, they purchased each Bitcoin for around $64,471.

In the interim, Bitcoin’s price has bounced back, reaching $64,676 on CoinGecko following a dip to $62,923.

According to U.Today’s report, the significant decrease can be attributed to recently released American economic information indicating increased inflation and decelerating GDP growth. Consequently, futures market participants have adjusted the predicted initial rate reduction to December. Some financial experts even propose that US interest rates will remain unchanged throughout this year, a possibility with unfavorable implications for assets like cryptocurrencies.

I’ve noticed a significant drain in Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) lately, which adds to the bearish sentiment. BlackRock’s IBIT saw an end to its impressive run of continuous inflows on Wednesday. On the other hand, Grayscale experienced another $130 million in outflows.

Observing the market scene, I notice some significant players showing readiness to purchase despite the bearish factors at play. This eagerness is evident from the moves of the previously identified “whale” in the market. Yet, it’s uncertain whether this recent price bounce-back will prove to be long-lasting.

Based on data from CoinGlass, approximately $210 million in cryptocurrency was liquidated during the last 24-hour period.
