MicroStrategy Acquires 1,070 BTC For $101 Million
As an analyst, I’m sharing the news that MicroStrategy recently purchased 1,070 Bitcoins for a total of $101 million, which equates to approximately $94,004 per Bitcoin. Notably, this acquisition was made in the fourth quarter of 2024. Moreover, the company reported an impressive yield of 48.0% in Q4 2024, and a staggering 74.3% for the entire 2024 fiscal year from its Bitcoin holdings.
After its latest Bitcoin acquisition, MicroStrategy now owns a total of 447,470 Bitcoins, which it bought for approximately $27.97 billion, with each Bitcoin costing an average of around $62,503. This is the company’s ninth Bitcoin purchase in just seven weeks. Last week alone, MicroStrategy announced a new Bitcoin purchase of 2,138 coins valued at $209 million.
The software firm currently leads all publicly traded companies in terms of Bitcoin ownership, and it appears that its significant investment in Bitcoin isn’t likely to diminish in the near future. In fact, it has just declared its intention to acquire additional Bitcoin by raising as much as 2 billion dollars.
