BSG Is ‘Working 24/7’ On The Next Tarkov Patch

As a seasoned Tarkov survivor with countless hours under my belt, I must admit that the anticipation for the upcoming patch and wipe has been both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. The last few months have seen their fair share of ups and downs, but the promise of fresh loot and a level playing field always manages to rekindle my spirit of adventure.

Battlestate Games’ Nikita Buyanov emphasized on social media that their team is constantly working around the clock, or “24/7,” on the upcoming 0.15 patch for Tarkov. He noted that this current wipe has surpassed the previous record, lasting a total of 226 days, making it the longest Tarkov wipe to date, slightly exceeding the previous record which spanned from December 2022 to August 2023.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building among us, with the upcoming global reset on the horizon. Despite some disappointments that have arisen from recent development decisions, we remain hopeful and eager for what’s to come.

It’s Almost Here

For approximately eight months, it’s been clear that the Tarkov wipe would occur in August. Now, we’re at the brink of this prediction coming true, with just a few days left before the event unfolds. This wipe will coincide with update 0.15, which is set to bring significant features and enhancements to the Escape from Tarkov universe.

The COO at Battlestate Games, Buyanov, shared that their development team is putting in long hours to get the patch ready. However, some players are skeptical whether this update will go smoothly due to past experiences. Typically, significant issues arise when a wipe occurs, making the initial days of the new update quite challenging and almost unplayable.

Over the past few days, Buyanov has shared several sneak peeks of forthcoming content on the internet. Among these previews are a Desert Eagle pistol, Molotov cocktails, and garments that now appear seamlessly integrated without passing through one another.

Lately, a significant technical glitch hit Escape from Tarkov’s player community, causing over thousands of user accounts to be erased. As a result, Battlestate Games compensated affected players with a sizable sum of money and numerous in-game goods as a gesture of goodwill for the mistake.
