As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must admit, Activision has always managed to keep me hooked with their Call of Duty series. The announcement of Season One for Black Ops 6 has sent a thrill down my spine. The new maps, particularly the Resurgence map, Area 99, look absolutely mesmerizing.
Activision has officially unveiled Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, promising six brand-new multiplayer maps along with numerous additional features.
On the Official PlayStation Blog, it was revealed by Activision Writer Daniel Noel that a power struggle is happening within Avalon where a faction aims to overthrow the Luttazzi Crime Family. In the major Season 1 update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone, you can explore new areas in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Resurgence, acquire new weapons and gear, challenge your skills in Ranked Play, and enjoy many other features.

There are four new core 6v6 maps, as follows:
- Hideout (Launch)
- Extraction (Launch)
- Hacienda (Mid-Season)
- Nuketown Holiday (Mid-Season)
Two more maps are coming to 2v2/6v6 in Strike:
- Heirloom (Launch)
- Racket (Mid-Season)

For the premiere of season one on November 14th, we’re introducing two new gameplay options: Ransack and Prop Hunt. Later in November, Multiplayer Ranked Play will be introduced, featuring the same settings, modes, weapon limitations, and maps as the Call of Duty League.
There’s also a host of Zombies changes:
- Directed Mode for Terminus, Liberty Falls (Launch): Witness the horrific human experiments being conducted on Terminus Island and assemble the LTG for the mysterious Dr. Panos in Liberty Falls. Directed Mode offers more guidance in completing objectives with a maximum round cap of 15.
- New Map: Citadelle des Morts (Mid-Season): Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey travel to an abandoned castle in Europe, a “citadel of the dead” introducing a medieval village full of ghoulish horrors and tantalizing secrets.
The latest installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is available right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. The first season begins on November 14th.
