As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I was initially skeptical when Activision announced the third-person perspective for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode. Having grown up playing first-person shooters and becoming accustomed to the immersive viewpoint they offer, I wasn’t sure if this change would sit well with me. But after seeing the gameplay footage and learning about the benefits it brings, I must say I’m pleasantly surprised!


In the new version of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”, players can experience the Zombies mode from a third-person viewpoint, marking the first time this perspective has been used in the series. This innovative feature was demonstrated during Activision’s exciting unveiling trailer for “Black Ops 6” Zombies.

In late May 2024, it was officially unveiled that the next major installment of the popular “Call of Duty” series was coming. Although Activision had divulged some details about “Black Ops 6” Zombies since then, it wasn’t until August 8 that they released the initial footage of gameplay from the mode, which has returned to its traditional format.

In addition to revealing some hidden weapons in Black Ops 6 Zombies and reintroducing certain items, the recently released trailer also hinted at the introduction of a new third-person view in the game, which is exclusive to the Zombies mode. Activision has confirmed that the entire co-op mode will be playable from this perspective. As mentioned on the official Call of Duty blog, players can adjust their camera view from settings. While most games with both first- and third-person options allow for quick switching between them using a single button, it remains uncertain if Black Ops 6 will follow suit.
