Cardano Founder Praises SUI – Is He Staying With ADA? Here’s His Answer

As a long-time crypto investor with a keen eye for promising projects and a knack for spotting talented individuals like Charles Hoskinson, I find myself both impressed and reassured by his recent address from London. While some may see him expressing interest in other blockchain projects as a sign of wavering loyalty to Cardano (ADA), I believe that such an attitude is myopic and detrimental to the growth of our collective ecosystem.

On a recent leg of his tour through Europe, which included stops in Italy and Switzerland, Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano (ADA), spoke to the crypto community from London. In a video message, he addressed rumors about his dedication to ADA and shared information about other blockchain projects, particularly Sui.

Hoskinson Clarifies His Position On Sui

Initially, Hoskinson addressed the highly divided crypto community, pointing out that “people have become so extreme and polarized in their views that they expect the founder of Cardano to only express negativity about others’ actions.” He added, “If I offer a positive comment, there’s an instant suspicion that I’m distancing myself from Cardano or betraying the project in some way.

He emphasized that such tribalism is counterproductive. “That tribalism is intrinsically self-destructive,” Hoskinson stated. “It prevents us from learning and growing together as an ecosystem.”

Hoskinson’s remarks concerning the high-speed blockchain project, Sui, fueled discussions about his loyalty towards ADA. To clarify, he emphasized that his interest in Sui is based on its technology, specifically its consensus protocol created by George Danezis – a researcher with whom Hoskinson has been acquainted for nearly a decade.

As Hoskinson clarified, I’ve been examining the project with a clear, unbiased perspective. Part of this technology was developed by George Danezis… He authored a paper titled Narwhal and Tusk, which is one of the fastest Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) protocols ever created – it boasts an impressive high throughput, capable of handling six-figure transactions per second (TPS), and low latency.

He made it clear about Sui: “I’ve chosen not to delve into matters such as distribution, tokenomics, or launch methods – they simply aren’t of interest to me. I don’t possess any [Sui tokens] and have no affiliation with the project whatsoever.

Cardano Remains Number One

Hoskinson further emphasized his commitment to ADA and showcased its progress. In his words, “Cardano is all about layering and growth.” He added that when the Cardano community makes design choices, they are creating a foundation that will last for many years, even decades.

He addressed criticisms about Cardano’s technology being outdated: “What’s ironic about it is that Ethereum is desperate to try to be Cardano. They’re trying to figure out how to do on-chain governance; they’re trying to have liquid, non-custodial staking; they’re trying to figure out how to bolt on UTXO.”

Additionally, Hoskinson discussed ongoing advancements within their ecosystem. One such development is the Ouroboros Leios Protocol, which he claims will be “the swiftest single-shard protocol available.” Moreover, he mentioned that the corresponding Improvement Proposal (CIP) has been drafted and they are almost done with its prototyping.

To add to that, the originator of ADA expressed approval for advancements in governance and decentralization: “We’ve just activated the biggest decentralized administration in the whole sector […] Over 500 individuals have registered as DReps.

He emphasized that ADA’s approach is geared towards long-term success. “Cardano chose that road because it’s a real cryptocurrency, and its aspiration is to be the dominant platform for the economic, political, and social systems of the world,” Hoskinson asserted and claimed, “We have the best network stack, the best consensus architecture, the best programming model.”

In his response to rumors about departing from Cardano, Hoskinson made it clear: “I may acknowledge excellent science, engineering, and intriguing protocols when I come across them, but this doesn’t imply at all that I’ve jumped off the Cardano bandwagon.

With absolute assurance, this individual expressed his conviction about Cardano’s future: “Let me make one thing perfectly clear: In my opinion, Cardano will grow to be the most extensive cryptocurrency ecosystem globally. This achievement won’t happen overnight; rather, it’ll be the result of countless individuals working diligently on their respective projects over the coming years and even decades.

He concluded with a message of dedication and optimism: “I’m here to stay. I love every part of this. Cardano is here to change the world’s economic, political, and social systems, and it’s built purpose hand-in-glove for that expressed reason.”

At press time, ADA traded at $0.36.
