Cardano Reveals Impressive Growth in Monthly Report: Details

As a seasoned researcher who has been closely monitoring the blockchain industry for years, I find the growth of Cardano in August 2024 particularly noteworthy. With a background in data analysis and a keen eye for market trends, I can confidently say that the steady increase in transactions, wallets, native tokens, Plutus scripts, and policies is a strong indication of the platform’s robustness and growing adoption.

Last month’s (August 2024) on-chain statistics were shared by the Cardano Foundation via a tweet. The tweet emphasized consistent expansion within the Cardano network, marked by a rise in transaction volume, wallet count, and usage of native tokens.

As per an image attached to a tweet, the number of transactions on the Cardano network increased by approximately 1.51%, amounting to around 95.9 million transactions in August.

In August 30, 2024, Input Output Global (IOG) announced that the Cardano ecosystem continues to expand, with a total of 1,373 projects now under development on the platform. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in token policies by 8,375 and the number of minted native tokens has risen by approximately 110,000.

Plutus scripts expanded to 5,995 more, reaching a grand total of 74,729. Over the past month, the overall transaction count surged by approximately 1.5 million.

August also saw numerous developments, releases and milestones toward the Chang upgrade.

The Conway Ledger team persisted with their work during the Conway Ledger period, focusing on testing to deliver a seamless user experience following the initial phase of the Chang upgrade.

The Lace group unveiled an updated version, Lace v.1.14, that boosts the wallet features and prioritizes a better user interface.

The Plutus team finished up conformity checks on the leftover Bitwise functions (as specified in CIP-0122 and CIP-0123) such as integerToByteString and byteStringToInteger, all part of the initial phase of the Chang upgrade, which allows their activation.

In the latest update, version 0.18.0 from the Hydra team, you’ll find the addition of incremental commits and improvements to support Hydra Doom, maintaining harmony with upstream dependency requirements.
