Cardano’s Hoskinson Names Blockchain Use Cases for AI

As a seasoned analyst with a background in both technology and finance, I find Charles Hoskinson’s vision for the intersection of AI and blockchain particularly intriguing. Having worked in various domains, I’ve seen firsthand how these technologies have the potential to revolutionize industries, from healthcare to entertainment.

In his latest address, Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano, discussed some primary applications of blockchain technology in artificial intelligence. These uses encompass areas like digital identification for vehicles and managing royalties.

As the entrepreneur suggests, there’s a strong possibility that integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Blockchain technology might revolutionize healthcare. This could lead to significant improvements in the performance of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Simultaneously, Hoskinson discussed some hurdles associated with integrating AI and blockchain. A common problem they face is dealing with governance matters.

For the AI sector, data collection is quite challenging due to the reliance of AI on vast computational resources. However, these problems could be potentially solved with the help of tokenization.

Combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technology poses unique challenges, primarily because of issues related to privacy protection, limited resources, and the inherent deterministic nature of both systems.

“Romain Pellerin, the CTO of Input Output, shared on the X social media platform that AI and blockchain integration is currently hampered by technical incompatibilities and the first-mover problem. However, he suggested that innovative solutions could arise, tackling these obstacles as outlined by Hoskinson in his speech.”

The idea of combining AI and blockchain is not new. For instance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian suggested that the technology that underpins Bitcoin could be used for verifying the authenticity of AI-generated pictures. In the meantime, Ledger Chief Experience Officer Ian Rogers recently described blockchain and AI as two sides of the same coin.

According to a report from U.Today, Hoskinson has expressed worries regarding AI censorship that arises during alignment training. In simpler terms, he’s concerned about the potential for AI systems to suppress information due to their learning process.
