Chainsaw Man Part 2 is Officially Returning on June 4

Chapter 232 of Chainsaw Man, released on March 24, 2026, concluded Part 2 of the manga – and appeared to end the series altogether. The ending has proven incredibly controversial. Many fans were confused and disappointed by Pochita’s reset of the timeline, which gave Denji a new life only to find him back at Public Safety. Adding to the frustration, many believe the story had plenty of material remaining for a third part.

There’s still hope for more Chainsaw Man! Part 2 isn’t finished yet – it continues until Volume 24 comes out next month. The manga will return on June 4th with new content, which will at least rework the ending with additional art and pages. Hopefully, this return will allow creator Tatsuki Fujimoto to expand on the ending and potentially even begin an official Part 3, which fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Chainsaw Man Part 2 is Getting an Improved Ending

Reading Chainsaw Man chapter by chapter as it came out felt different than reading the collected volumes. Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto revises the artwork in each volume, improving the look of the chapters. For example, Volume 23 of Chainsaw Man included significantly updated pages from Denji and Yoru’s final fight, with new backgrounds and refined details.

Many fans criticized the artwork in the second part of Chainsaw Man, but the upcoming collected volumes are addressing those concerns with significant improvements and details on each page. Chainsaw Man Volume 24, set to release on June 4, 2026, will contain chapters 223-232. This volume promises enhanced artwork and revised details for the final battle against the War Devil, the apocalyptic events, and the manga’s conclusion. In addition to Fujimoto’s art improvements, Volume 24 will also include 12 pages that weren’t originally published with Part 2.

Chainsaw Man Volume 24’s New Pages Will Make or Break Part 3

The future of Chainsaw Man hinges on what happens on June 4th, potentially with the release of Volume 24. While most chapters are around 14 pages long, the series has done 12-page chapters before, leaving the possibility of Chapter 233 still open. It’s unclear if this chapter will just wrap up the events of Part 2, or if it will begin setting the stage for Part 3.

It’s possible, though unlikely, that the added 12 chapters aren’t substantial content. They could be filler – like blank pages, sketches of Pochita, or extra pages spread throughout to expand existing chapters – while still keeping the core story of Part 2’s ending the same. However, if these new pages simply add detail and depth to the final chapters, that wouldn’t necessarily be a negative, and could even improve on the original release by clarifying things or developing key moments.

At the very least, June 4th will bring Chainsaw Man fans a revised and polished ending to Part 2, delivering the quality the manga has always earned.
