Chromia Eyes Incentivized Testnet With 250,000 CHR Tokens in Rewards

As a researcher with a background in blockchain technology and a keen interest in new decentralized platforms, I am particularly excited about Chromia’s recent announcement of its incentivized testnet initiatives, HackNet and ProjectNet. Having followed the development of Chromia closely, I believe these initiatives will significantly contribute to the network’s growth and maturity ahead of its mainnet release in 2024.

The newly unveiled testnets are geared towards integrating the authentic Chromia Vault wallet for both developers and users, offering them testnet tokens in the process. Consequently, Web3 aficionados seeking innovative blockchain experiences can experiment with the network risk-free, enjoying the benefits without the fear of financial loss.

Chromia new-gen L1 kicks off incentivized testnet initiatives HackNet, ProjectNet

Starting on June 11, 2024, as stated by their team’s announcement, Chromia blockchain has invited developers and backers to participate in their reward-driven testnet programs.

As a crypto investor excited about Chromia, I’m thrilled to announce that the Incentivized Testing Program is now live! With an impressive prize pool of $250,000 in $CHR up for grabs, there are opportunities for everyone. The program comprises three levels: HackNet, ProjectNet, and QuestNet.— Chromia | Power to the Public (@Chromia) June 12, 2024

The newly named projects, HackNet and ProjectNet, are primarily designed for technologically adept individuals. These users have the ability to exploit the projects’ features to pinpoint weaknesses in the network prior to its official debut.

The HackNet program, offering a reward of 100,000 CHR, will continue until June 28. At this point, both the program and the third-party audit being conducted by Trail of Bits will conclude. Following these evaluations, the Chromia team will be prepared to apply the gathered insights and formally launch their mainnet.

According to Alex Mizrahi, one of Chromia’s co-founders, the debut of the incentivized testnet marks a significant step forward in the journey towards the mainnet launch, which is planned for 2024.

Users are warmly welcomed to experience our groundbreaking platform through this rewarding beta testing program, prior to its official launch on the mainnet. This is an exclusive chance for our dedicated followers to demonstrate the strength and dependability of our technology, as well as play a pivotal role in determining the direction of Chromia’s future development.

Chromia has launched ProjectNet, an endeavor aimed at attracting developers to familiarize themselves with Rell and construct decentralized apps upon it.

Gaming and RWA use cases are in focus for Chromia

Chromia emphasized that no background in using Rell is necessary for participation. Their Demo Dapp Contest welcomes individuals skilled in building either Web2 or Web3 apps.

After the finishing of ProjectNet, six judges, among whom are members of the Chromia team, will evaluate the entries and distribute a reward of 50,000 CHR in total to the top three applications.

In addition, Chromia set up QuestNet, a program tailored for new users. They developed a user-friendly dashboard specifically designed to facilitate interactions with the Chromia Vault wallet and various dApps, which cover areas such as digital collectibles, gaming, real-world assets (RWAs), and sports. A reward pool of 100,000 CHR has been allocated for QuestNet participants.
