Concord Post-Launch Roadmap Outlines New Characters, Maps, And Mode

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming team-based shooter Concord by Sony and Firewalk Studios has piqued my interest significantly! The post-launch roadmap looks promising with new Freegunners, maps, game modes, and quality of life updates. It’s refreshing to see a game developer focusing on content after release instead of just milking the battle pass system.

Sony together with Firewalk Studios have unveiled the post-release plan for the forthcoming cooperative shooter game, Concord.

At its initial release, the game called Concord will offer six distinct game modes, 12 unique maps, and 16 playable Freegunners. Post-launch, additional content will be added to keep players engaged. The inaugural season of Concord starts in October, bringing a fresh Freegunner, a new map, new variations, along with several improvements for overall user experience.

As a dedicated player of Concord, I am thrilled about the upcoming changes in Season 2! With my many hours spent mastering this game, I can’t wait to dive into the new Freegunner and Map that will be added starting in January. The prospect of a fresh game mode for all players has me on the edge of my seat, though I must admit, I am eagerly awaiting more details to fully appreciate its potential.

As we’ve mentioned earlier, the game won’t feature a Battle Pass system for players. In its place, Firewalk Studios plans to introduce an in-game shopping experience for players instead.

Game Director Ryan Ellis announced that along with Season 1, they’ll unveil an in-game shop for players who want to enhance their Freegunners with extra customization options. The items are intended to complement the numerous rewards you can earn through game progression and will have no effect on gameplay since they’re purely cosmetic and optional.

On August 23, Concord is set to debut on both PlayStation and PC platforms. For those who have already bought the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, they will be able to begin playing three days earlier, starting on Tuesday, August 20.
