Okay, so the next big update for Crimson Desert is almost here! Pearl Abyss has been giving us a sneak peek at what’s coming, and one of the coolest things is a new extraction feature. They’ve been working hard on the game ever since it launched back in March – fixing bugs, adding new stuff, and generally making the whole experience smoother. It’s great to see them so dedicated!
Players are really enjoying the quick and frequent updates, and that positive buzz is likely boosting sales. Interestingly, all of this new content has been released without a planned post-launch schedule, which Pearl Abyss says was a deliberate choice. Rather than predicting what players will want or committing to fixed dates, Pearl Abyss is focusing on listening to player feedback and observing how they actually play the game to guide development.
Crimson Desert Reveals New Features In Next Update
Pearl Abyss is building excitement for a major update to Crimson Desert, promising it will arrive within the next few days. In a recent tweet, the studio revealed that the update will include new, special mounts to collect, adding to the existing options like the Polar Bear and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex.

This update for Crimson Desert will include more than just new content. Pearl Abyss also hinted at a new feature allowing players to recover materials used when upgrading or refining items. It’s important to note this isn’t connected to the extraction genre of games. Details are still limited, but the feature will let players get back some of the materials they’ve used, though the exact amount or how it will work hasn’t been revealed yet.
The latest update for Crimson Desert just came out less than a week ago, bringing several exciting new features. Based on what players have been asking for, the May 1st update introduced Rematch and Re-blockade. Rematch lets players fight bosses they’ve already defeated, either at their original difficulty or scaled to the player’s current level using the Resonate system. A nice bonus is that any items used during a Rematch battle will be refunded afterward. However, in this first version, players won’t receive any loot from Rematch battles, although the developers at Pearl Abyss are considering adding loot in a future update.

So, a lot of us endgame players were hitting a wall – we’d clear so much of the map that enemies just stopped spawning. That meant no more fights, no loot, and basically no way to keep leveling up or finishing challenges. Thankfully, they added this new ‘Re-blockade’ feature. Now, we can either leave things as they are, or force enemies to respawn at a slower or faster rate. Right now it only covers 23 forts and quarries, but the devs said they’re planning on adding more areas to it later on, which is awesome!
