As a crypto analyst, I’d like to share some intriguing news from the Dogecoin and X communities. The renowned member, “DogeDesigner” (@cb_doge), has recently disclosed valuable information about which digital currencies Tesla, Elon Musk’s pioneering electric car company, accepts.
In the common occurrence of scams and false reports circulating about Tesla and cryptocurrencies, @cb_doge took it upon themselves to clarify that Tesla only acknowledges transactions in Dogecoin as a valid cryptocurrency payment option.

Consequently, customers have been given the opportunity to purchase Tesla merchandise using this popular meme cryptocurrency on the company’s online store. Some of the items available for DOGE include the “Giga Texas” belt buckle and the Tesla Cyberwhistle.
As a crypto investor, I’ve seen some exciting developments with Dogecoin (DOGE) lately. A few months after SpaceX made headlines by accepting DOGE for merchandise sales, I was thrilled to learn that in May of this year, Tesla officially added DOGE as a payment option on their website. These announcements have surely boosted the confidence and visibility of Dogecoin within the crypto community.
As a researcher conducting a site visit at the Berlin Gigafactory, I had the opportunity to directly ask Elon Musk about the possibility of Tesla selling electric cars in exchange for Dogecoin. Musk confirmed that such an arrangement is indeed a likelihood for Tesla in the future.
On several occasions in 2021, Musk clarified that neither X nor Tesla, nor any firms under his control, are intending to launch their own cryptocurrencies. These clarifications came after a series of misleading reports suggesting that X was planning to introduce a “X coin.”
