Crucial Scam Warning Published by SHIB Team

As a long-time crypto investor and fervent member of the Shiba Inu community, I’ve seen my fair share of market fluctuations and scams. So when Lucie, our beloved marketing lead, issued a warning about fake TREAT tokens being circulated by scammers, I couldn’t help but heed her advice.

The marketing representative for Shiba Inu with the nickname Lucie in the SHIB community has issued a notice to tokenholders. She urges caution against fraudsters attempting to exploit the confusion surrounding counterfeit TREAT tokens.

Lucie cautioned the Shibarium community once more, emphasizing that the release of the $TREAT token, which is crucial for the ecosystem, has not transpired as of yet. She went on to warn against falling prey to scammers who are attempting to mislead people into believing otherwise, with the intention of extracting funds. “Stay vigilant, the launch of $TREAT has not happened yet,” Lucie advised.

Based on my extensive experience in the crypto world and having witnessed numerous scams, I strongly advise against getting involved with any project or individual claiming that $Treat is already launched when it is not. Scammers often use deception to lure unsuspecting investors into parting with their hard-earned funds. My advice comes from a place of caution and a desire to protect the community from potential harm. Let us all wait for the official launch of $Treat instead.β€” π‹π”π‚πˆπ„ (@LucieSHIB) July 19, 2024

Although Shiba Inu experienced a 11% decrease in value on Thursday due to the WazirX hack, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in India, SHIB continues to show strength on the daily crypto market chart as presented by Lucie.

After experiencing a significant dip, the second largest meme cryptocurrency by market capitalization size has regained approximately half of its losses. It is currently trading at around $0.00001765. Unfortunately, a hacker managed to make off with nearly 5.5 trillion SHIB coins and sold them for approximately 26,535 Ether – the equivalent of roughly $92 million US Dollars.

Shytoshi Kusama makes important statement

Shiba Inu leader Shytoshi Kusama made a significant announcement on his X account, shedding light on the recent global IT outages caused by CrowdStrike’s Falcon Sensor software update.

As a seasoned IT professional with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of software updates that caused more harm than good. But this latest one from Microsoft took the cake. I was shocked to learn that not only minor users but major PC users worldwide, including critical infrastructure like airports and even reputable news outlets like Sky News, were impacted. The update prevented their systems from functioning properly, leaving many in a state of frustration and disarray. It’s disheartening to think that something as seemingly routine as an operating system update can bring daily operations to a grinding halt for so many people. It goes to show how interconnected our world is and the ripple effect that technology glitches can have on individuals and organizations alike.

The CrowdStrike team is currently attempting to resolve the issue at hand. Notably, prominent figures in the cryptocurrency sector such as Shytoshi Kusama, Dogecoin‘s founder Billy Markus, Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson, and Elon Musk have expressed strong criticisms towards centralized systems like CrowdStrike and Microsoft in their public statements.

The consensus among all was that we should begin implementing global decentralized Web3 systems, which could have prevented the recent CrowdStrike outage from occurring.

“Wow, it seems that a global centralized service caused disruption to nearly half the world. Perhaps it’s time for us to consider utilizing decentralized services instead?”

In a recent tweet, Shytoshi Kusama emphasized the importance of transitioning to decentralized systems. He argued that relying on centralized technologies and their governing authorities is no longer a viable option. Instead, he advocated for adopting decentralized technology driven by Web3, which would deliver “an enhanced level of user interaction, security, and advancement” to its users.

As a neutral analyst, I find it quite ironic that CrowdStrike, a company dedicated to thwarting cyber assaults, unwittingly became a key player in one of the most significant cyber attacks.
