Well now, it seems some slick-fingered fellow from Wellington got himself tangled up in a fancy international rooster fight over a chunk of change — a whopping NZD$450 million, to be exact, which is close enough to US$265 million to make even a banker blush. And wouldn’t you know it, the New Zealand police, along with their American cousins, gave him the old “you’re under arrest” treatment right in Auckland — all in the span of three days, no less, like swatting flies with a cricket bat.

The crook’s out on bail, which means he’s got to tango back to court on July 3, 2025, to answer for his deeds.
