So, guess what? The X account of the late crypto guru John McAfee has popped back up like a bad penny, tweeting that it’s not a hack and promising “more information forthcoming.” Because, you know, nothing says “trust me” like a ghost account. 👻

And who should chime in but our very own Cardano creator, Charles Hoskinson, who clearly has a PhD in sarcasm. 🎓

Charles Hoskinson Calls McAfee’s Tweet “A Dubious AI Crypto Scam”

McAfee’s account suddenly reactivated, tweeting: “John’s account has not been hacked. This is the real deal. More information forthcoming.” Right, because nothing screams authenticity like a tweet from beyond the grave. 🙄

Charles, ever the witty commentator, welcomed McAfee back with open arms, saying he was missed, but let’s be real, it’s more like a “crude simulacra” of his former glory. Ouch! That’s gotta sting! 🥴

When a user suggested Hoskinson not to give this tweet any more engagement (as if that ever works), he quipped that “John is being resurrected as a dubious AI crypto scam.” Because, of course, what else would he be? A digital saint? 🙏

He then went on to elaborate, talking about metaverses and recalling McAfee’s infamous biography: “It’s going to develop a digital drug habit within a week and then start a metaverse called New Belize before escaping to Europe.” Sounds like a plot twist straight out of a bad sci-fi movie! 🎬

Earlier today, McAfee’s account tweeted: “I’m back with AIntivirus. An AI version of myself.” Because who wouldn’t want an AI version of a guy who once ran from the law? 🤖

So, the masterminds behind this account are clearly speculating on McAfee’s brainchild – the McAfee antivirus, which was basically the OG of antivirus programs. Talk about a legacy! 🦠

In case you forgot, the antivirus pioneer and crypto influencer John McAfee was found dead in a Spanish prison in June 2021, where he was awaiting extradition to the US. The official story? Suicide. But let’s just say, the conspiracy theories are thicker than a plot twist in a soap opera. 📺
