When Yuru confronted Jin and the others from Kagemori Manor, the situation changed when he asked to see his sister. He confidently entered their headquarters, accompanied by Left and Right, despite the risk of it being a trap. There, he discovered his parents had vanished on a flight to Okinawa, and the Kagemori family had taken care of his sister, Asa, afterward. However, the conversation was interrupted by an attack, revealing the attackers’ frightening objective: to either capture both twins or kill Asa.

After the exciting conclusion of Episode 5, the next episode of Daemons of the Shadow Realm promises even more action, including intense battles with daemons and clues about the twins’ destiny. The preview for Episode 6 highlighted powerful yin-yang daemons who seem capable of trapping others in different dimensions, and it appears this might happen to Left. Asa warns that if Yuru gains the power of Seal, something important will occur. Despite the dangers, it’s clear Asa and Yuru are stronger together, especially with so many enemies closing in. Can It Keep the Momentum for Its 24 Episode Run?
With 24 episodes planned, Daemons of the Shadow Realm has a lot of story to tell, and could even get a second season if fans enjoy it. The manga has been running since 2021, with the latest volume released in March 2026, and the studio Bones is likely to continue the series if viewers connect with the characters Yuru and Asa. Although it’s not as popular as Fullmetal Alchemist yet, many think the show could become a hit once the mystery surrounding the twins’ destiny is revealed.
While the first couple of episodes of Daemons of the Shadow Realm initially scored better than Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, it will be challenging to surpass one of the most popular anime series ever made. Brotherhood currently has an impressive 9.1 rating on both MyAnimeList and IMDb, and remains incredibly popular more than 15 years after its original release. However, Daemons is performing well, and with 19 episodes still to come, it has a good chance to gain momentum and become a strong competitor.
