Yesterday, a known gaming news source, Kurakasis, stated that Destiny Rising is “an unannounced Destiny mobile game” developed by Bungie. Jeff Grubb added to the news, saying that this information is indeed “real” and that “not many people from Bungie” are working on it. Grubb said that the game might receive an announcement soon.

The working title for an upcoming mobile game, tentatively titled “Destiny Ascending,” is being developed in collaboration between NetEase and Bungie. Rest assured, it’s still very much in development! 😄

In July 2024, Bungie made significant job cuts and reorganized their company, letting go of over 200 employees. Amidst these changes, details about a game called ‘Payback’ emerged. Payback was intended to be a unique gameplay experience within the Destiny universe but has been shelved for several months now so Bungie could focus on upcoming projects. It appears that a mobile game based on Destiny was one of the projects that made it through their restructuring process
