Having been captivated by the studio’s previous masterpiece, CrossCode, I find myself drawn to the similarities in art style and gameplay mechanics that Alabaster Dawn seems to promise.

The creators of the popular 2018 game CrossCode, Radical Fish Games, have shared more information about their upcoming project. Originally known as Project Terra, this new game from Radical Fish Games has now been formally named and a trailer for its release has been unveiled. The successor to CrossCode is called Alabaster Dawn.

Back in 2018, I found myself immersed in the action RPG masterpiece known as CrossCode, developed by Radical Fish Games, exclusively on PC at first. Fast forward to 2020, and this game was ported to console platforms like Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, expanding its reach.

After the achievement of “CrossCode”, Radical Fish Games embarked on a new project called Project Terra several years ago. In their most recent update, they unveiled the official title for this upcoming game and launched its first official trailer. Just like “CrossCode”, “Alabaster Dawn” is an action RPG with a 2.5D top-down perspective and a retro art style. Players can expect to tackle intricate puzzles, engage in an immersive combat system against various foes, and delve into the captivating narrative of this new game titled “Alabaster Dawn”.

As a gamer diving into “Alabaster Dawn,” I’m excited to see it expand on the fantastic elements of its predecessor, “CrossCode.” The art, battles, and overall vibe are strikingly reminiscent yet refined, giving it a shine that sets it apart. In this game, I step into the shoes of Juno, the Outcast Chosen, in a quest to resurrect humanity and the gods after the Shadow of Nyx’s fall. My mission involves rebuilding communities, advancing technology, and uncovering hidden paths in the vast world around me. All while unearthing secrets and clues to discover where the gods have vanished, this adventure promises an engaging and intriguing journey!

Despite having just begun playing it, the upcoming demo for “Alabaster Dawn” is scheduled for release on Steam in early 2025. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam now. At this year’s Gamescom, Radical Fish Games will showcase an updated demo of “Alabaster Dawn.” Additionally, there are plans to launch the game in early access towards the end of 2025, much like their approach with “CrossCode” release.
