Soon, Lumina will debut its test network. This innovative platform is engineered to tackle the ongoing issue of a genuinely decentralized and trustless data infrastructure for Web3. Its ultimate goal is to establish fresh benchmarks in the oracle sector, all while increasing the practical applications of its indigenous token, DIA.

Lumina operates using modular building blocks, offering state-of-the-art oracle functionalities, ranging from data sourcing to verification, storage, processing, and distribution. Importantly, the core operations of Lumina’s oracle services run on Lasernet, DIA’s proprietary L2 rollup, a strategic choice that leverages the latest Ethereum scaling solutions in technology.

According to Zygis Marazas, DIA’s Head of Product, the successful launch of Lumina is crucial for DIA’s strategic plan.

Lumina represents the culmination of four years’ worth of advancements in web3 infrastructure, all brought together into a single solution. It serves as the base for our vision of a fully decentralized and trustless oracle network that emphasizes security and reliability while still being adaptable to any application.

In a modular architecture, the approach is designed to reevaluate trust assumptions throughout all stages of the value chain. This design encourages a network of distributed nodes by offering incentives through staking mechanisms. These incentivized nodes gather raw trade data from over 100 centralized and decentralized exchanges as their contributions are safeguarded by the platform’s native token, DIA.

Enabling data streams for 50 L1s and L2s

Paul Claudius, a founding member of DIA, is prepared to introduce Lumina to the network of DIA collaborators who are engaged in diverse applications within the Web3 realm.

DIA has firmly established itself as a highly adaptable and transparent oracle that operates across multiple blockchains. It’s currently connected to over 50 primary and secondary chains and provides data to approximately 200 decentralized applications (dApps). Its expertise lies in the procurement and distribution of customizable data streams for both on-chain and off-chain data.

DIA Lumina is set to be introduced gradually, starting with the debut of the Lasernet test network and an initial staking program for early adopters. In the second stage, we’ll launch a restricted Lasernet mainnet along with live staking. The third phase will mark the beginning of the open mainnet, offering opportunities for widespread involvement in the network.
