Nevertheless, the discussion shifted into a playful direction as influential figure Ian Miles Cheong jokingly countered with, “You’re responsible for Bitcoin,” to which Markus replied in his typical wit, “Well, I did invent the internet and oxygen too,” underscoring the ludicrousness of the assumption.
This interaction takes place during a surge of hypotheses suggesting multiple individuals in the cryptocurrency sphere could be associated with Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous inventor of Bitcoin. The cofounder of Dogecoin issues a playful but clear rejection to lay these rumors to rest and make his role within the crypto industry clear.
Dogecoin (DOGE), a playful version of conventional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, was introduced in 2013 – four years following Bitcoin’s debut in 2009. Given that Satoshi Nakamoto left the digital stage in 2011, it seems unlikely that they were behind the creation of Dogecoin.

It’s been argued that the intricate nature of the code underlying Bitcoin suggests it was crafted by multiple programmers, not just one individual. Despite extensive investigation, the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the supposed inventor, still remains a puzzle unsolved.
