On August 17, a prominent Dogecoin figure named ‘Inevitable360’ used their platform (previously known as Twitter) to alert the community about a fresh scam attempt. They stated that a fake account on the same platform was posing as the legitimate Dogecoin Foundation account.

The Dogecoin Foundation serves as a non-profit organization aimed at advancing and boosting the technological advancements and worth of Dogecoin. With its growing impact on social media sites and increasing recognition, it has unfortunately become an attractive target for scammers who aim to capitalize on the trust and excitement among Dogecoin community members.

Inevitable360 claims that someone is pretending to be the Foundation’s X profile on social media. This fake account uses similar branding and messages to trick Dogecoin investors into possible scams. A popular Dogecoin influencer even posted a screenshot of this imposter’s X account, which already has more than 69,300 followers.

A user claiming to be part of the cryptocurrency community asserts that an account initially accumulated followers and obtained verification using a separate identity, later changing its name to deceive people into believing it represents the Dogecoin Foundation.

Due to the persisting scam, Inevitable360 is encouraging members of the Dogecoin community to report any suspected fake accounts. By doing so, we can protect investors from being tricked by deceptive practices and increase awareness about such fraudulent schemes within the DOGE community. This could also discourage future attempts at scamming activities.
