EA FC 25 Rush mode explained

As a long-time fan of FIFA games, I’m absolutely thrilled about the introduction of Rush mode in EA FC 25! This new 5v5 game mode is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a football game – collaboration, teamwork, and excitement.

Besides a slew of returning game modes, EA FC 25 is set to introduce a brand-new mode called Rush.

Before being officially unveiled, there were numerous leaks about the mode, which was referred to as “Penta” by some insiders. Now that Rush has been confirmed for EA FC 25, here’s what we currently know about both.

What is Rush mode in EA FC 25?

In EA Football Club 25, there’s a fresh 5v5 game mode called Rush. This new mode allows players to create teams of four with an AI goalkeeper and engage in matches on a scaled-down pitch. It is officially announced to take over from VOLTA in the upcoming edition.

As a gamer, I’d describe it like this: In this game mode, I can’t juggle multiple characters at once. I have to choose one player to command throughout the match. Collaboration becomes key as we need to synchronize our actions and communicate effectively to achieve our objectives – scoring goals and defending against them.

In contrast to VOLTA, the initial action in this game will feature a unique twist: Both teams will charge towards the ball at the beginning instead of the standard setup. A change from the conventional spot kicks, penalties will now present as a 1-on-1 confrontation against the opposing goalkeeper, providing an opportunity to outmaneuver them.

As a gamer, I can tell you that committing rash fouls comes with consequences – you’ll earn yourself a Blue card, which means getting sent off for a brief 60-second time-out. Keep in mind that offsides will be an element in the game as well. However, don’t fret too much; you’ll only be penalized if you’re caught overstepping the mark in your opponent’s attacking third.

All modes Rush is available in

  • Ultimate Team
  • Clubs
  • Kick Off
  • Manager Career

In the 5vs5 mode, the rewards for the seasons will be distributed amongst both Ultimate Team and Clubs. While managing a career, you have the opportunity to oversee a Youth Academy and enhance players’ growth through arranging 5vs5 competitions during the course of the season.

All special features in Rush

In a uniquely designed stadium developed in partnership with Nike, Rush matches will be held. This venue draws inspiration from Nike’s renowned Mercurial boots, boasting a distinctive shape and a 23.7-degree angle, identical to the Nike Swoosh.

Fans will be thrilled to hear Fernando Palomo’s legendary commentary during the game, adding an extra layer of excitement.
