Elon Musk Responds to Horror Legend Stephen King’s Critique After Important Development

As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen interest in technology and space exploration, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when reading about Elon Musk’s latest endeavors. On one hand, I admire his relentless pursuit of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in both tech and space travel. On the other hand, I worry about the potential consequences of such ambitious projects, as evidenced by the incident mentioned in Stephen King’s tweet.

As a passionate crypto investor, I find myself once more in agreement with legendary horror author Stephen King, whose sharp critique of tech mogul Elon Musk is well-known. In a recent tweet, he voiced his concerns yet again about the visionary entrepreneur’s latest endeavors.

This time, the writer does not bash Elon Musk for his rebranding Twitter to X.

SpaceX burns whole in ionosphere

According to a tweet by Stephen King, an article published by Popular Mechanics Scientific Magazine suggested that the SpaceX explosion in November created a hole in the ionosphere.

On November 18, 2023, an article discusses the incident involving SpaceX’s Starship rocket test. Four minutes following takeoff, over Texas skies, the spacecraft detonated in mid-air.

The blast occurred around 93 miles up from Earth’s crust, and as per reports by Popular Mechanics, Russian researchers assert that this blast significantly harmed the ionosphere – an atmospheric layer responsible for shielding our planet from potentially damaging solar rays.

Elon Musk playfully dismissed King’s comment with a “facepalm” emoji, indicating he found it unworthy of serious consideration.

Elon Musk announces timeline for mission to Mars

Currently, tech tycoon Musk has shared details about when the initial spacecrafts for Mars will be sent, aiming to bring his far-reaching ambition into fruition – transforming mankind into a multi-planetary race.

SpaceX’s initial starships are slated for a journey to Mars within the next two years, coinciding with the next Earth-Mars alignment when they will be closest due to their position relative to the sun. This favorable alignment, which happens approximately every 26 months, lasts about nine months during which the distance between the planets decreases significantly, from over 401 million kilometers (249 million miles) to just 54.6 million kilometers (33.9 million miles).

In two years, the inaugural unmanned spacecraft bound for Mars will take off, during the upcoming alignment of Earth and Mars that allows travel between the two planets. If these initial landings prove successful, manned missions to Mars are expected to follow in four years. The frequency of these missions is yet to be determined.

Elon Musk shared that initially, the rockets won’t carry any astronauts, instead focusing on ensuring safe landings on Mars. If everything goes smoothly, spacecraft carrying crews are expected to travel to Mars within the next four years.

Elon Musk aims to build a “self-reliant urban center” within approximately two decades, with the intention that it will enable human survival if a worldwide disaster were to occur on Earth.
