Elon Musk Reveals New Anti-AI Bot Measure, Ripple CTO Reacts

David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple Labs – a major player in the blockchain industry – has spoken out against Elon Musk’s plan to enforce stricter rules against AI bots on platform X.

In the meantime, the DOGE community seems to have supported Musk – at least some of its members.

Ripple CTO criticizes Elon Musk

The boss of X company recently responded to a post from @xDaily’s account. In this post, it was announced that new users joining the X platform will have to pay a modest annual fee to participate in discussions by replying to others’ posts, showing appreciation through likes, or saving content using bookmarks, starting soon.

Musk stated that this is the sole solution he sees to combat AI bots and troll farms as they can now effortlessly bypass the “bot detection” test. He also pointed out that these accounts are snatching up desirable handles, leaving uncertainty about whether the new policy will offer some relief from this issue.

It seemed you firmly believed in allowing all lawful speech on your platform without censorship. Yet now, you consider excluding certain lawful but annoying speeches significant enough to fundamentally alter the site’s dynamics?

David Schwartz expressed his opposition to Musk’s views with clarity. Notably, the top executive at Ripple and XRP Ledger’s co-founder has recently criticized Musk for allegedly censoring free speech on a particular platform, which goes against Musk’s earlier promises.

This time around, Ripple’s CTO asserted that Elon Musk intends to filter lawful speech on X platform due to finding it irritating. He further stated that Musk plans to alter the platform’s core functionality to enable this censorship.

Around late March, Elon Musk’s company X faced defeat in a legal battle against CCDH over allegedly critical publications. X Corp intends to lodge an appeal with the court regarding this dispute. The CTO of Ripple expressed disapproval towards Musk for initiating the lawsuit, accusing him of infringing on free speech values he himself advocates.

DOGE community supports Musk’s initiative

instead of paying the stated fee in traditional currency, they suggested using Dogecoin for the transaction.

I wonder if making them pay with doge could make it even more difficult for these bots to pass ๐Ÿ˜‚

The community remains optimistic that Musk will introduce Dogecoin payments on X social media platform in the near future. However, Musk has yet to make any announcements regarding this following his purchase of Twitter for $44 billion.
