Elon Musk X Records Major User Growth Milestone

As a researcher with a background in social media and digital trends, I find Elon Musk’s recent announcement about X app’s impressive user-second metric to be quite intriguing. Having closely observed the social media landscape for years, I can attest that user engagement is a critical indicator of an app’s success.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of X, has recently praised a notable achievement on Twitter, the social media platform.

Elon Musk X Sees Huge User Engagement

Musk reported that the X app reached a peak usage of 417 billion user-seconds worldwide on July 14, 2024. In the US, the social media app saw up to 93 billion user-seconds. This represents a substantial 23% increase from its previous figure of 76 billion. Notably, this growth occurred within a single day.

The metric indicating user activity reveals that not only are users accessing the app frequently, but they’re also investing significant time into it. It’s worth noting that this heightened engagement from X users suggests that they find the app’s content captivating. This could be attributed to a more effective content strategy.

Additionally, Elon Musk and his team at X are working to provide users with an upgraded experience, potentially increasing the platform’s earnings over time.

When users become heavily engaged with an app and invest significant time in using it, as noted by several commentators, it’s reasonable to expect that they will continue to use the app rather than abandoning it. Consequently, this app is likely on the verge of achieving its peak user-retention level.

X Payments Holds 31 Licenses From the U.S

The user involvement with X platform might be attributed to recent enhancements and modifications the app has undergone. In the past few months, Elon Musk has been actively working on broadening the X app’s capabilities in an attempt to establish it as a versatile “everything app.”

X Payments is one of the branches of the company pioneering fresh ideas, aiming to offer various options to its customers. As of June 24th, X Payments has obtained licenses in 29 US states, such as South Carolina, with further expansion anticipated this year in places like Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, and Nebraska, among others.

Last week, the number of licenses grew to 31, with X Payments additionally obtaining a money transmitter license in Washington D.C. It’s important to mention that they had previously secured a license from the District of Columbia.
