Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15.5 Patch Brings Fall Weather, ‘Matching Inventory’, and More

As an old-timer gamer with countless hours lost to the digital wastelands of Tarkov, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and dread as the 0.15.5 patch rolls out today. The introduction of fall weather means one step closer to winter, and that damned snow. But hey, at least we can now interact with our stash, profile, and Flea Market while matching – if only for a brief moment before the cold freeze sets in!

Today, on October 31st, the new update for Escape from Tarkov, version 0.15.5.0, goes live! Packed with fresh features and improvements, but remember it’ll require some downtime as it’s rolled out and tested. One of the key modifications in this update is the addition of autumn weather conditions – bringing us one step closer to winter and the inevitable snowfall.

What’s in Tarkov’s 0.15.5 Patch?

Tarkov’s 0.15.5 update has plenty packed into it.

Initially, there’s the transition into autumn weather, characterized by leaves turning orange and brown, crisp ground beneath your feet, and low-lying sunsets that can momentarily blind you. In a few weeks, we’ll experience late autumn, which is quite distinct. It signals the approach of winter, so it won’t be long before snow returns to Tarkov again.

With the 0.15.5 update, one exciting new function is that you can now manage your stash, profile, and even the Flea Market while in a match. This functionality is available during the initial phase of matching, so you’ll need to act swiftly. However, it’s anticipated that this feature will be expanded further in future updates.

In other areas of the game, you’ll receive in-game rewards upon achieving specific milestones. These rewards persist even through wipes, meaning once you’ve earned them, they’re yours forever. For example, finishing the entire Tarkov Mystery event grants you the ‘Mr Kerman’s Cat Hologram’ item.

After the release of the 0.15.5 update, players can now secure items within their inventory by pinning or locking them. This feature ensures that valuable items won’t be mistakenly used or sold.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that Battlestate Games has tinkered with transition spots, added some fresh shotguns and accessories for a series of assault rifles, and squashed numerous bugs and glitches within the game, making it even more enjoyable to play!
