Ethereum‘s “Holy Trinity” of Doom: Neutral, Apolitical, and Lost in the Haze

Joseph Lubin, the CEO of Consensys, has proclaimed that Ethereum must maintain its sacred neutrality, like a monk in a monastery, untouched by the worldly desires of politics.

“One can build biased, political, centralized, and local applications on such a platform, and benefit from connectivity to everything else on the platform,” he said, with all the conviction of a man who has just discovered the secret to eternal life.

But, alas, Lubin’s words are like a whispered secret in a crowded market – they fall on deaf ears. The Ethereum faithful, like Consensys and Etherealize, are tasked with the Sisyphean duty of educating governments and businesses on the wonders of blockchain.

And yet, like a specter haunting the halls of Ethereum, the lack of lobbying efforts looms large. Former venture capitalist Ismael Hishon-Rezaizadeh warns that if Ethereum changes course abruptly, it risks losing its identity, like a ship without a rudder, drifting aimlessly in the vast ocean of uncertainty.

But what’s this? Ethereum is facing challenges as numerous as the grains of sand on a beach! Heavy throughput constraints, fragmented liquidity, no clear direction from the EF, and internal turmoil among various teams – it’s a wonder the platform hasn’t imploded yet!

“We no longer have to be quiet”

Lubin, the great prophet, has declared that the key Ethereum players no longer have to be quiet, now that the SEC has dropped its case against Consensys. It’s like a bird set free from its cage, singing its sweet melody to the world!

As reported by U.Today, the regulatory agency has finally seen the light and dropped its case against Consensys in late February. Ah, the sweet taste of freedom!

“Consensus, Etherealize and many others are shifting modes from being heads down and focussing heavily on building to being a bit more heads up and vocal to add a much stronger and coordinated messaging component to our work,” Lubin stressed, with all the gravitas of a man who has just discovered the secret to eternal life.

And so, Ethereum’s players take a deep breath, like a man emerging from a long, dark tunnel, and declare to the world: “We are here, we are loud, and we will not be ignored!” 🎉

But will it be enough to save Ethereum from its impending doom? Only time will tell. 🕰️
