Recently, Vitalik Buterin, who’s associated with Ethereum, shared on a popular social media platform that the Ethereum Foundation, an organization dedicated to backing numerous researches and developments in the Ethereum community, is undergoing a major shift in leadership roles at present.
At present, our organization aims to recruit new, skilled individuals and bolster the technical know-how among the leadership team at our foundation.
Additionally, Buterin mentioned that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is focusing on enhancing communication channels between its leadership and different actors within the ecosystem.
The foundation plans to continue its efforts in advancing decentralized and private technology, as well as providing more proactive support for app developers.
Concurrently, Buterin has made it clear that there will be no shift in philosophical direction at the organization’s core. Moreover, he has expressed his opposition to pushing for regulation aggressively, implying a subtle critique of certain high-profile crypto firms.
ETH/BTC hits fresh multi-year low
In the meantime, Ethereum recently reached yet another multi-year low against Bitcoin.
Earlier today, the ETH/BTC pair reached an intraday low of 0.03 on the Binance exchange.
Overall, the flagship altcoin has lost nearly 50% of its value against Bitcoin since last January.
In recent news, Bitcoin has been garnering attention as it’s being increasingly adopted by institutions and corporations, whereas Ethereum has not seen the same level of progress.
According to Buterin, he supports the idea of engaging with financial entities about increasing their involvement with ETH. However, he thinks that the Ethereum Foundation might not be the ideal party to carry out this task.
