
Saros is Housemarque’s newest fast-paced shooter, and though it’s easier to pick up than their last game, it still has some challenging elements. If you’re new to the genre or even a seasoned player, having a guide handy can make the experience much smoother and more enjoyable.
In Saros, understanding Arjun’s new Growth Attributes is key to mastering the game. These attributes directly affect his stats and weapons, so let’s take a quick look at what each one does, including how the corrupted versions change things.
What Are Attributes in Saros
Growth Attributes are basically Arjun’s stats, defining his strengths. There are three main types: Resilience, Command, and Drive. Each one affects a different aspect of his abilities, and you can improve them over time by finding artifacts or earning rewards from defeating enemies.
Okay, so I’ve learned that if you max out an attribute β like really push it beyond its normal limit β it can become ‘volatile’. Basically, whenever you try to improve that attribute after it’s volatile, things get risky. Instead of just getting better, it could actually decrease β it’s not a guaranteed improvement anymore, and that’s a little scary!
Your core stats have a starting value that you can boost permanently using the Armor Matrix. However, any improvements you earn through playing the game will be reset when you die or return to The Passage. These stats also affect how well your weapons perform β the higher your stat, the better the weapon will function.
Every Attribute Explained
Resilience
Resilience shows Arjun’s maximum Armor Integrity or Health Points. The higher his Resilience, the more damage he can take from enemies and dangerous surroundings.
To improve your chances of survival during gameplay, focus on increasing resilience early on in Saros. The more resilient you are, the better you’ll be able to withstand damage and stay alive longer.
Okay, so building up the stability of this thing actually turns it into ‘Arrogance,’ which is kinda cool β it hides enemy health bars. Honestly, it’s not a huge drawback, but it can make boss fights a little tougher, especially when you’re trying to figure out how close they are to switching phases. It’s harder to time your attacks when you can’t see exactly how much health they have left!
Command
The Power Weapon is a recently added tool in Saros, letting you fight enemies and bosses. It works alongside your Command skill and your deployable shield.
Increasing your Command stat lets you use more of the power gauge on screen, fire Power Weapons more often, and extend how long your shield stays active before needing to fully recharge.
Overusing Command will cause you to become Ignorant. This prevents you from being able to see the negative effects that Corruption has on Artifacts.
Drive
Finally, Drive affects how quickly you improve your weapon skills. The higher your Drive stat, the faster you convert Lumenite into Proficiency Levels, letting you unlock better weapons with more powerful perks and overall performance.

Drive is potentially the most dangerous state because if it transforms into Negligence, you’ll lose all your Lucenite when you die. However, if you’ve already bought all the Lucenite nodes from the Armor Matrix, this isn’t a concern.
